Woo Hoo! Ok, so I’m a bit excited. I just completed a new training set to help show the general workflow that I use when I create my character animations. When I was in Animation Mentor the biggest hurdle that people encountered (at least it seemed to me) was the actual process of moving from blocking (stepped keys) to final animation (spline keys). This is a step-by-step video. If you have problems distilling poses from live action footage, creating thumbnails, moving from blocking to final animation, converting stepped keys to spline and adding polish to your animation – then this 4.5 hour video should help you!
